Saalfield #4582 coloring book ©1958 United Features Syndicate Inc. Charlie Brown and Lucy are depicted on front cover watching Snoopy about to go through an obviously too short toy train tunnel. Repeat illustration on back cover. Coloring book content consists of 2 of 4 bw panels of a daily strip on each page in sequence with complete 4 panel daily strip contained on facing pages, using actual Charles M. Schulz’s Peanut’s daily strip art. Lt. handling wear with two 4.5” creases at lower right corner of front cover and 1/8” indent along right margin of front cover. Lt. spine wear. Coloring book is o/w unused and VF with Exc./N. Mint content. Early Peanuts item, easily among the first pieces of Peanut merchandise produced. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
