.75” reads “Committee Of 500/United American Artists – C.I.O.” Button seems to be related to a group called American Artists’ Congress which was a 1936 group founded in the USA in response to the American Communist Party’s call for the formation of literary and artistic groups to oppose the spread of Fascism. Paint has a few tiny scattered dots mostly off the rim edge which blend and overall piece still displays VF.
