Item Description
5/8” tall die-cut blue enamel on brass forming a large letter “V” with horizontal enamel panel featuring the group’s initials “IWO.” Reverse has post with threaded cap. The group was left wing and neighborhood-based, primarily popular with the New York City Jewish working class. The group was largely a fraternal organization and provided insurance services to its members which reached around 200,000 at the time of World War II. This piece is c. 1940 and is Exc. displaying Mint.
