Item Description
First is classic “Nixon’s The One” cartoon button by Trimble for 1968. Shows Nixon leading Humphrey and Wallace in a foot race. Outer edge has 3 tiny areas with slightest age tone just a hair darker than the surrounding blue bkg. Second is anti-Nixon button issued in support of the migrant farm workers. This reads “Nixon Drinks Ripple/Boycott Gallo Wines.” Essentially Mint. Third is 2” from New Jersey 1972 reading “Bergen Young Voters For The President.” This is Hake #2038 with 2004 Revised Price value of $50. This example has just the very slightest tone on some areas of the white bkg. but still displays Exc. Last and again an anti-Nixon is the 3” with amateurish artwork showing cartoon figure of Nixon and smaller cartoon figures of 2 black children. Slogan is “Nixon Doesn’t Care” and this was used at the 1972 Democratic National Convention which nominated McGovern. This is essentially Mint.
