Item Description
Large 2.25” features browntone photo surrounded by gold lettering on cream rim. Beneath his portrait is “President Harry S. Truman.” Additional rim text in full “Truman, Minnesota/Golden Jubilee-June 17 & 18, 1949.” Celluloid has very trivial 1/8” air spot around the second “n” of “Minnesota” but this is barely noticeable and the piece has only the most trivial surface wear in reflected light. On the goldtone metal reverse there is a small .25” spot with some brown rather than gold color. Curl has maker’s mark “Wendells, Inc. Minneapolis.” An Exc. example with perfect centering that displays Mint.
