Item Description
Thin wooden outer box is 5/8” deep by 2-1/8” long. Contents are cardboard tray with complete amount of wooden safety matches. Underside of the outer box is blank and 2 side panels have the striker paper. The top has colorful cartoon image showing a globe with factory buildings and with images of FDR and Churchill as if running and being chased by a bomb with a few characters and partial image of what seems to be a Japanese flag. In one corner is the tiny text “No. 3.” There are also 2 slogans, one at the center of the illustration and one at lower right. These read “Tentoe Dapat Kemenangan.” Second slogan is “Himpoenlah Kertas Apiapi.” Exc. and the only example we’ve seen.
