Item Description
Lot of two. Complete and assembled 13 oz. cereal box is 11” tall. ©1939. From series featuring cut-outs of Disney characters and this box is titled “Mickey Mouse At The Playground.” Two cut-outs on back, one on side panel are “Trapeze Artist” with Mickey Minnie, “Seesaw” Mickey and his nephews, “Happy Landing” Donald sliding down a slide as a tack awaits him below. Lt. trace of wear/aging but quite clean, VF and complete boxes are scarce especially in this condition. Second item is 15.5x21.5” full page newspaper ad from earlier Post Toasties promotion ©1934. Includes example image of cereal box with The Goof cut out on one side, family having breakfast with cut-outs of Mickey and Minnie at the table, additional images of Mickey and Minnie around promotional text for this campaign. Text notes the different characters that were featured on boxes with Mickey holding sign “Cut Them Off The Box.” Lt. aging and handling wear, barely noticeable 1.5” moisture stain at lower right corner. Still displays VF and comes in a plastic frame so ready for display.
