5.5” tall tin litho. 1930s by Ohio Art. Embossed design features Donald laughing hysterically as he watches Goofy dunk Pluto under water. Running by him with a harpoon are Mickey’s nephews. In the book “Comic Character Metal Sand Toys” by Doug & Pat Wengel, there are 2 different versions of this pail shown (but neither are this embossed variety), one is smaller 5” size while the other matches this size and has raised bottom. This embossed version is the only one known to us. Before discovering this pail, we knew of only one embossed Disney pail which is desirable but now "pales" in comparison to this rarity. Moderate scattered wear to interior with some traces of oxidation. Outside has all-over scattered trace of wear/aging with some very minor indents, scattered nicks and traces of age spotting. However, still remains glossy and has strong color. Still Fine.
