Item Description
5.5x7.25x7.25” tall nicely designed high quality lacquered wood radio. 1930s. On the front at each corner are attached aluminum pieces with character images of Minnie, Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. At bottom center is triangular attachment that reads “Emerson Radio And Television/©Walt Disney.” Also has nice die-cut aluminum grill plate depicting Mickey playing a bass and behind this is the original fabric speaker cover. Radio is complete and has original wiring. Works, however we were not able to pull in any stations but we assume with a little finessing of the antenna wire this could be done. The plain wood back is missing so interior is exposed. Wood body has all-over moderate scattered wear with some paint rubs. Die-cut Mickey on front has scattered tiny missing paint dots, three of the corner pieces have tiny corner tip off one point. Overall still a working and Fine example of this classic Mickey item. From the Michael J. Stern Collection.
