Item Description
5x9.5x10” tall wood toy piano by Marks Bros., 1930s. Company mark and Disney copyright appears on back. Complete with a separate attached pair of die-cut cardboard figures of Mickey and Minnie which dance as the keys are struck and this also produces musical notes. Illustrated panel above the keys depicts Mickey and Minnie swinging, songbook is at center. Bkg. scene behind the die-cut figures depicts Horace, Clarabelle, Pluto and Fiddler Pig singing, dancing and playing instruments. All-over moderate aging. While all of the paper labels show trace of aging. While all of the paper labels show trace of aging, color remains bright and vibrant. Wood back has some staining but this does not show through to the front. Minnie has neatly-done repairs to wrists only noticeable when viewed closely. Overall a working and Fine example of this rare toy. From the Michael J. Stern Collection.
