Item Description
8.25x11.25” with 188 pages by Golden Press ©1958. Book is by Bob Thomas with illustrations by the Walt Disney Studio staff. Contents are mostly full color and include numerous photos and images from Disney films along with photos of animators and other people behind the scenes. Subtitle is “The Story Of The Disney Studio Contribution To A New Art” and is filled with detailed text featuring sections such as Story, Characters, Music, Animation, etc. Book also includes “Compilation Of Animation Credits.” Both the book’s cover and dust jacket have same design featuring filmstrips with character images. Two-page spread featuring photo of “The Nine Old Men” signed by Ward Kimball along left edge of photo. Second photo of Ward Kimball and Ken O’Connor has been signed by both men at margins around photo and in typical humorous fashion, Ward added “Etc.” and an arrow pointing towards his photo. A third page has been signed by animators Bill Layne (above his photo) and Ted Berman. Dust jacket has typical lt. handling wear, mostly along edges. Fine. Book also has some surface paper rubs along edges but remains a very clean copy. VF. Great multi-signed vintage Disney art book.
