Item Description
First is 3x3x5.25” tall white metal with brilliant silver luster. 4” tall Trylon & Perisphere sit at back. Tiny, barely noticeable imperfection on side of Trylon. The front has a hinged lid with text “New York World’s Fair 1939.” Behind lid is pen rest area. Lid opens for access to ink. Reservoir (likely glass) is missing, however this desk unit may have been designed to fit over small open bottle of ink. Inside lid reads “Made In France.” Corrosion on underside support area at back. Does not affect display. High quality. A nice Deco look. First we’ve seen in our 43 years. Displays VF. Lot also includes 11” long giant pen. Bright blue enamel paint. Bright/colorful decal with gold luster bkg. Trylon & Perisphere are seen on left side. Text below reads “New York World’s Fair.” Side of decal shows “©NYWF.” 4” long metal pen tip reads “Eagle Pencil Co. New York.” Tiny trace of gold luster loss on underside, o/w giant pen displays Exc.
