Item Description
5” tall painted wood composition. Size, pose and design very closely matches the resin-like material figure by Kerr (see item #2046) but not identical, most notably name is spelled out on front of this piece as opposed to abbreviation of “Capt.” on base of the Kerr figure. Back of this base also has Fawcett copyright as this was issued as a Fawcett premium. Dynamic pose of Marvel with arms crossed and cape draped over the left side of his body. 100% original, no repairs or touch-ups of any kind. Gold paint has scattered traces of darkening, mostly to the back of the cape. Some tiny scattered paint nicks but really only noticeable when viewed closely. VF overall. This is the rarest of all of the wood composition character figures produced by both Multi Products and Syroco, even rarer than the 2 versions of Superman (see items #2057 and #2058). This is the only example of this figure we’ve offered in our 43 years. Listed in The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia By Ted Hake with a value of $4500 in Fine and $7000 N. Mint.
