Miss Maude Nelson World Famous Female Pitcher/And Famous Chicago Ladies Military Band/30 People 30 Traveling In Their $10,000 Special Pullman./We Carry Our Own Canvas Fence, 12 Feet High And 12 Hundred Feet Long. Also Portable Grandstand With Canopy Cover, Seating 2,000 People, Thus Enabling Us To Put Up A Complete Portable Baseball Park.” Bottom text reads “Many Imitators But No Equals/J.B. Olson, Jr. Manager” was Maude Nelson’s husband. Caption below Maude’s picture reads “A Word To The Public. This Is A First Class Respectable Organization In Every Particular, Where You Can Bring Mothers, Wives, Sisters And Sweethearts, Truthfully Advertised And Honestly Conducted. Endorsed By Press, Pulpit And Public.” This very flier was used for additional printing purposes, hence the blue lines and slash marks over text area and arrow to left of photo of this is what was to be reproduced on another flier or same type of publication. Maude Nelson’s baseball career as well as owner/manager of ladies baseball teams spanned many decades. Slight bottom trim. Nicely framed. Early and Rare. Fine.
