Item Description
7x28.5” image area. Matted. 12x34” overall. Photo text continues “Photo By Rell Clements Jr. Copyright 1929.” This German-made lighter than air craft was partially funded by German WWI reparations and was conditional on her being employed for civil purposes only. Completed in Aug. of 1924, she was commissioned as USS Los Angeles in Nov. of that year by the US Navy. She was de-commissioned in Oct. of 1939. .5” tear appears at far left. Trace of handling wear. Not offensive. Displays VF as framed. Great photo ready for display.
