Item Description
Lot of eight. 3.25x4”. c. 1910-1920. Comes with 3.5x4.25x1” tall two-piece mailing box from “Scott & Van Altena, 59 Pearl St., N.Y.C./To Barber Service, Sandusky, Ohio.” The Altena and Barber Service names appear on all 4 of the “Fisk Bicycle Tire” slides. Note advertising classic art of child with tire and candle holder for Fisk Tires reading “Time To Re-Tire/Good Night.” Lot also includes two “Overland” automobile slides. Also included is slide for “The Dayton Motor Bicycle/The Lowest Price Complete Motor Vehicle In The World.” Last is slide for 1917 eight-part movie serial “The Whip.” Two .25” pieces of black margin tape missing on 2 slides. Mailer shows wear/aging. VG. Slides are bright, clean and VF.
