9-5/8x12.75” hardcover pubished by Whitman ©1934. Children’s book written and illustrated by Vernon Grant with 40 pages and features a character named Mixie Dough who looks surprising like Grant’s Rice Krispie elves – Snap, Crackle and Pop. Large prose text with several full color, full page illustrations by Grant. Some scattered handling wear, mostly to corner of covers. Some scattered coloring on front cover. Fine. Pages have some scattered penciling as well as child’s name in front of book. VF overall. Scarce first printing. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
