Item Description
8.25x9.25x1.5” deep box contains complete set No. 35 by Transogram. c. 1930s. Box lid has full color 6x7” glossy label showing Popeye with pipe, bubble reading “Blow Me!” coming out of it as Olive Oyl looks on saying “What A Man!” and Wimpy says “What A Pipe!” Box is Exc. Set contains generic wooden bubble pipe, 3” dia. soap dish and 1.25” tall Bakelite pipe attachment that would produce 3 bubbles at once. This attachment has tiny 1/8” flake and dish has heavy paint wear. Comes with 2.25x3” figural “Pop-Eye”(sic) soap depicting his face that lays on insert with his image and that of Olive Oyl. Soap has light aging but is unused and Exc. Also included are 3 different colored cellophane bags containing soap flakes, red is empty. Great set.
