Item Description
8x10” stiff paper card part of the 1939 King Features Syndicate promotional comic strip character Christmas card set. Card has specialty bw art by Krazy Kat creator George Herriman and was a promotional item which was mainly sent to newspaper editors. Card shows Krazy Kat, Ignatz, Offisa Pup and other inhabitants of Kokonino Kounty handing letters that spell “Merry Xmas” to stork delivering “1940” bag. Card has been professionally matted and framed in 11.75x13.5” frame and is Mint and ready for display. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
