Item Description
9.5x12” program with embossed die-cut cover with sunburst design in center revealing portion of full color topless Josephine Baker photo on first page. Cover opens to reveal wonderful image of her wearing diamond necklace, earrings and bracelets surrounded by blue feather boa. Program contains 22 bw and full color images with many women shown topless including Baker shown solely on 2 full bw pages and one bw page as well as in full color centerfold showing entire cast which includes Baker and others in foreground doing the Charleston. Program covers the 1926-1927 season. Scattered handling wear with pinch creases and small tears along spine. Two loose 4-page sections but issue is complete. Fine+. Additional photos online.
