Pair of 5.25x7” catalogues issued to promote and sell Columbia records in France. Catalogue #48 from Dec., 1930 has nice art image of Baker with spotted jaguar and 2-page article inside with additional nearly full page tinted bw photo of her playing guitar. Article has 3 additional photos of Baker. Scattered aging plus handling wear, mostly to cover. Staple rusting. Interior pages are VF. Catalogue #53 was issued May, 1931 and has nice photo image of Baker on cover with Columbia Victrola. This catalogue opens to 7x10.5” and has 2-page article on Baker with several photos including one of her in her famed banana dress. Scattered aging/wear with pinch creases to spine. Fine with VF contents. Additional photos online. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
