Item Description
Pair of 7.25x13x1.25” deep boxes contains animated “Double Feature Show” done in flicker/flasher style animation on a reel which was turned via a plastic knob on bottom. Included here are – The Joker in “The Last Laugh!” and The Penguin in “The Magnetic Umbrella.” Both by Embree Mfg. Co. ©1966 National Periodical Publications, Inc. Boxes feature same art showing Batman & Robin, Gotham City with batsignal, a separate panel picturing each villain featured. Each of these sets were issued in 2 different versions – Penguin was issued with 2 titles, Joker was issued with 2 color boxes (this being purple box). Both remain wrapped in original cellophane with some st. wear and warping to boxes. 3” split to cellophane on Penguin box but o/w contents remain unused and Exc.-N. Mint.
