Item Description
8x10-1/8” vintage glossy sepia toned photo with attached 7x8.5” “Columbia Broadcasting System News Photo Department” press sheet attached on back. Noted date of release for “Sinister Stuff” story on “The Shadow” was for October 6, 1934. This is when the show moved from NBC back to CBS. Press sheet has some scattered aging and is VF. Photo shows Frank Readick who portrayed The Shadow from the character’s first days on the radio. He is seen wearing The Shadow’s trademark cape, mask and hat. He stands in front of a “CBS” radio microphone. Scattered handling wear, mostly to corners/margins, would display VF/Exc. if framed. First we’ve seen in our 43 years.
