Item Description
2.5x5x6.75” tall tin litho toy with built-in key. Marked “Made In Germany” and ©1922 Fontaine Fox. Nicely designed toy includes die-cut tin figure of The Skipper. Toy works and when wound travels forward in a rocking motion. Trolley is designed to stop and shake slightly as The Skipper turns the controller before it continues on its way. This function does not work as Trolley does not come to a complete stop though Skipper does move back and forth and moves controller. Entire toy has darkening of paint, a few scattered scratches and paint rubs but still a nice example of this classic early comic character wind-up. VF.
