13x20.5x3.5” deep box contains complete “Junior” set #1513 by The Connecticut Leather Co. c. 1950s. ©Kagran. Box lid has photo and art images of Chief Thunderthud and Princess Summerfall Winterspring. Depicted on lid are photo images of crafts kit “Young Braves And Maidens” to make – Indian tom-tom, headdress and moccasin. Box also features images of “7 Famous Indian Chiefs” Keokuk, White Horse, Sitting Bull, Red Cloud, Geronimo, Petalesharo and Black Hawk. Other side panel shows “7 Authentic Indian Symbols.” Box has 2 corner splits and is Fine. Contents include 3-3/8” tall by 4” dia. litho tin body for “Indian Genuine Leather Coleco” tom-tom with repeat image of Chief Thunderthud and Princess Summerfall Winterspring as seen on box lid with image of Indian by campfire with teepee in distance. This, combined with 2 leather skins and string binding were used to create tom-tom drum. Additional leather components used to make moccasins and headdress with feathers. Old store stock. Mint contents. Comes with instructions which have been folded and give brief history on each piece to be created. Great elaborate set, a smaller version of this was produced. First we’ve offered of this large set in our 43 years.
