8x10” glossy full color photo shows “Gen. Chuck Yeager,” a World War II fighting ace who shot down a Messerschmitt jet with a propeller-driven P-51 Mustang and was also the first man to fly faster than the speed of sound. Yeager has signed in black felt tip pen in upper right corner. Exc. 8x10” glossy full color photo shows flying formation of 5 P-40 Warhawks with the infamous shark smile nose art. Photo has been signed by David Lee “Tex” Hill, the World War II flying tiger ace who received 3 Flying Crosses and 2 air medals as part of the 1st American Volunteer Group of the Chinese Air Force during 1941-1942. Hill and his group helped protect the Chinese border against Japanese invasion prior to the U.S. involvement in the war. Photo has been signed in black felt tip pen “’Tex’ Hill – A.V.G.
