Item Description
12x12x2” deep box contains approximately 11” dia. maze tray. Hassenfeld Bros. Inc. ©1966 NPP Inc. Open-faced window box has separate die-cut band which features great graphics of Batman and Robin leaping into the fray. Both are depicted as they appeared in the Batman comic in the mid-1960s, Batman in his iconic blue and gray costume, with the gray portions taking a slightly purple hue. Batsymbol on chest does not have the familiar yellow ellipse behind it. Illustrated insert backing features great action shots of Batman and Robin fighting villains Joker, Riddler as well as scene of Batplane and Batmobile. All original with instructions, packaged for full viewing. Factory sealed but with large 9.5” split at lower left corner and some smaller splits at other corners. Boxes usually show wear due to flimsy material, but this has held up nicely and is VF/Exc. Insert backing shows slightest fade but is o/w N.Mint as packaged. Our consignor has seen only 3 other examples sealed. From the Craig Warren Collection.
