Item Description
Trimmed 28x41” partially cut sheet originally most likely contained 4 identical maps per sheet. This was cut in half, with 2 remaining and makes a great piece for framing. c. 1955 to capitalize on the popularity of the TV show starring Richard Greene. Maps are identical and both share the same amazing details showing the countryside where Robin Hood’s adventures took place including Sherwood Forest and including images of Robin Hood and his Merry Men, the Sheriff of Nottingham as well as 6 inset scenes showing classic moments from the stories including “Little John Tumbles Robin” and “Robin Hood’s Last Arrow.” Archery tournament scene along top of each map. Sheet has been rolled and has handling creases at center. Margins have some wear but if framed piece would display VF/Exc. Great images.
