Posters featured in catalogue include: Dracula, Forbidden Planet, Casa Blanca, The Phantom of the Opera, King Kong, Creature From The Black Lagoon, Wolf Man, Charlie Chaplin films City Lights, A Dog’s Life and Gold Rush, The Wizard of Oz, Marx Bros. film A Day At The Races, The Sheik, Walt Disney Silly Symphony Merbabies, Gone With The Wind, Mickey Mouse shorts The Cactus Kid and Society Dog Show. Props offered include Wicked Witch Of The West’s hourglass from Wizard of Oz and Cowardly Lion’s tail, George Reeves’ Superman costume, Harpo Marx’s wig/hat and horn cane, Oscar statue, Star Trek uniform. A few with prices realized. Nice quality cardboard slipcase contains complete set of 6 auction catalogues for joint venture between movie poster collector Bruce Hershenson and Christie’s. This series of 6 auctions between Dec., 1990-Dec., 1993 realized $5.3 million in sales and catalogues make up a great reference guide.
