Item Description
7.5x12x5-7/8” tall wooden stool by what appears to be Dornwall Wood Products of South Paris, ME. as indicated by faint stamp on underside of seat. Printed lettering on seat reads “Howdy Doody Or Pinky Lee – Makes No Difference Who I See. This Little Stool So Nice And Neat Sure Is A Wonderful Little Seat.” Nice combination item for these classic 1950s children’s TV icons. The second Pinky Lee show debuted in Jan., 1954, becoming a big hit for NBC. This served as a lead-in to their Howdy Doody show, hence this item promoting both. Stool has all-over wear and aging with numerous tiny scratches to lettered surface. Good. Very rare and first we’ve seen in our 43 years.
