Item Description
Large, highly-detailed and incredibly impressive bronze sculpture atop marble base with overall size of 6x11x9” tall. Produced in an edition of just 150 for the 1996 official Disneyana Convention at Walt Disney World. Issued at $1,800 and it was an instant sell-out. Based on the short of the same name, this is a superb depiction of an angry Donald about to take a tumble as he slips on a bunched up rug and knocks over a vase. Incredibly expressive image of Donald with his hat flying off of his head. In front of him is a book with raised text on the cover reading “Carl Barks Studio Features Donald Duck In Self Control By Carl Barks-Artist Bruce Lau-Sculptor.” Incised text on rug includes Carl Bark’s signature and edition number of “53/150.” Essentially Mint as issued. This is the actual example shown in The Official Price Guide to Disney Collectibles by Ted Hake and comes w/COA.
