Item Description
7x8x4" deep metal box by General Steel Wares, c.1960s. Front and back panels feature different hockey scenes. Top of band shows overhead view of hockey rink. Right, left and bottom panels of band feature different images of referees giving signals which are "Washout, Holding, Cross Checking, Elbowing, Tripping, High Sticking." Interior has about 40% of the white paint missing where thermos once laid against the bottom panel. Front has trace of rim wear, mostly at corners w/thin streaks of bare metal showing. Back panel has heavier rim wear w/trace of bare metal showing around entire edge. Both front and back panels have a number of tiny indents/minor scratches although only visible in reflected light. Band shows only small traces of wear. Box remains totally bright and clean w/very glossy finish. Despite defects, front panel still displays about Fine, back panel is VG and band is about VF. A rarely seen and much sought after lunch box.
