Item Description
This Japanese bisque which is c. 1938 was previously unknown to us (and all experts we have contacted) and in fact we have never seen any Dwarf bisque in this size nor have we seen a Snow White in this scale. This is the second largest 1930s Disney bisque produced, second in size only to the largest Mickey Mouse bisque which stands 8.5" tall (offered in this auction as item #1852). What makes this bisque even more impressive is that both arms are movable. The only Dwarf bisque we have ever seen with movable arms, the rarest Snow White bisque has movable arms but stands just 4.75" tall. To give you an idea of this bisque's size, we have pictured it standing next to the largest Mickey along with 3 other Sneezy bisques (not included in this lot, only item for sale in this lot is the 7.5" tall Sneezy figure) in sizes ranging from 3" to 5" (5" being the previously known largest example for a Dwarf bisque). Small scattered traces of paint wear including where movable arms meet body but overall bisque remains bright and clean. Fine. A true Disneyana rarity.
