Item Description
2.5x5x6.75" tall. ©1922 by Fontaine Fox. Tin litho toy with built-in key marked "Made In Germany." Nicely designed toy includes die-cut tin figure of The Skipper. Toy works well and when wound travels forward in a rocking motion. Trolley then stops and shakes slightly as the Skipper turns the controller before it continues on its way. Entire toy has moderate darkening of the paint. Toy has a few scratches and paint rubs. A nice example for display of this classic early comic character wind-up. Fine.
