Item Description
Lot consists of 2 different sets, all cards are about 1.5x2.5". First is "Film Favourites" issued by Godfrey Phillips Ltd. in 1934. Set of 50 with choice full color portrait illustrations on fronts, bio text for that star on backs. Stars include Greta Garbo, Carole Lombard, Claudette Colbert, Jean Harlow, Ruby Keeler, Joan Blondell, Bebe Daniels, Zasu Pitts, others. Cards come in a generic "Picture Card Album" of the time period but are easily removable. Cards have light aging/corner tip wear. VF. Second set is "Film Stars" issued by Carreras Ltd. This is "Second Series" set of 54 issued in 1938. Each has great real photo front. Stars include Joan Crawford, Marlene Dietrich, Betty Grable, Clara Bow, Olivia DeHavilland, Claudette Colbert, Deanna Durbin, others. Exc.
