Item Description
This is one of the nicest and rarest Disneyland toys ever produced. 14.5x18.5x1.75" deep box contains set by Schuco, 1962. Box marked "6333" and version that comes with 3-car monorail in red. Box bottom has pair of 1.75" edge splits. Lid has two corner splits, 2 corners are reinforced with cardboard stapled to interior. Scattered edge wear with surface paper rubs, extreme right edge of box has long but faint moisture stain. Despite defects, lid art remains bright and clean. Box displays Fine. Styrofoam insert holds the 14" long monorail and accessory pieces. Possibly missing a few small connector pins but all major pieces are here. Monorail is tin litho and hard plastic authentically detailed and includes decals reading "Disneyland-Allweg Monorail System/Santa Fe & Disneyland RY." Contents including monorail show just the slightest trace of wear. Exc. Comes with detailed 16-page booklet. Light wear from handling, VF. Set operates by means of an American 12-volt transformer although this was an accessory that was sold separately, not part of this set. Only produced a short time and did not sell well due to the fact that it was quite expensive.
