Item Description
12x12x3.5” deep box contains set by the National Fireworks Co. 1937. Previous item #2070 gives description as “A Cannon Of Futuristic Design Made With The Patented Release Notch That Permits The Throwing Of Disintegrators (salutes) Some 20 To 60 Ft. At The Imaginary Enemies, Where They Explode With A Bang Destroying The Targets.” Insert/base has Buck Rogers spaceship illustrations and a die-cut circle at center for the wood/metal cannon. Spring-loaded cannon could swivel and launch fireworks. Insert/base has six 1x2” to 2x2” areas of surface paper pulls. Cannon has some oxidation to barrel. VG. Box has obvious dust soiling and some moderate edge wear with bare cardboard showing. Box corners remain tight with original tape reinforcement. VG. Rare and first we've ever offered.
