Item Description
This is the first licensed publication. 9x12" complete with all 16 pages. By Bibo & Lang ©1930. This is a second to fourth printing and has the Wynn Smith Mickey daily strips on page 8 and back cover, the words "Printed In U.S.A." on the front cover and age of Bobette Bibo specified on the title page. Typically found with pages 9-10 removed but this is a complete copy with these pages intact. Featured on page 9 are "Mickey Mouse Pawns" cut-outs to be used with "Mickey Mouse Jorney" gameboard that appears on page 7. The rest of the book features a Mickey Mouse story of how he met Walt and got his name, song titled "Mickey Mouse You Cute Little Feller," nice illustrations throughout including two which are full page. Cover has typical trace of margin tanning more noticeable on back than front. However, front top margin has moderate scattered tiny age spotting. At bottom center of front cover is a .5" surface scratch on black border design. Cover itself retains a bright appearance and green color remains vibrant. Has trace of staple rust but contents show only the slightest trace of aging and remain totally bright and clean. Despite the aging, cover remains Fine while contents are VF/Exc. Overstreet 2006 Fine value = $5,000. Consignor has set a conservative opening.
