Item Description
Complete basic set of 12 plus 2 additions, measuring between 1” and 4.5” tall. Made by GEM Clay Forming Company for distribution by both sponsors of the Tarzan radio show and others. 1932. Basic set of 10 includes Tarzan with Cheetah (this is first version without base), Kala holding baby Tarzan, Jane Porter, Numa the Lion, Sheeta the Panther, Witch Doctor, Pirate with treasure chest, Lt. D’Arnot, Cannibal Warrior and 3 monkeys (which were counted as a single item). Also includes two additional figures from later set of six, Leopard of Opar and Princess La. All are unpainted and in bright, clean condition as issued. One statue has some age spotting but overall all are Exc./N. Mint. Consignor has set a very reasonable opening. A group of this size is valued at over $1,000 in the Sixth Edition of Hake’s Price Guide To Character Toys.
