Item Description
Lot of four measuring between 11x20.25” and 13x20.75”. All done mainly in pen and ink with grease pencil accents. c. World War I era. First piece “The Bear That Turned Into A Mouse” depicts Russia (represented by rat) being tricked by “German Peace” (represented by mouse trap). “Dropping The Pilot” depicts Germany removing Bolsheviks. “Making Some Progress” depicts German people “Mother” watching baby steps of “U.S. Peace Terms.” “It May Be Awkward At First” shows Hindenburg wielding peace leadership instead of war leadership, each represented by pen and sword. All four are done on artboard. Varying degrees of corner tip wear and dust soiling. Overall Fine/VF.
