Item Description
11.5x12.25x23” tall. 1949. Mechanical, steel candy machine with long glass window in the front. Three sides have illustrations of Dog Patch characters including: Li’l Abner, Daisy Mae, Mammy Yokum, Pappy Yokum, Shmoo. Machine offered four choices. Daisy Mae Raisins (California Seedless Raisins), Li’l Abner Goobers (selected Spanish peanuts), Mammy Yokum Craws (delicious carmels), Pappy Yokum Delight (????). Appears to work, but no product is included. Illustrations are slightly darkened with age, but remain strong with no major scratches, blisters or chips. Scattered wear to painted areas, o/w Fine. A fun piece to add to a comic character display.
