Item Description
This 2.25" button was produced for the Massachusetts "Fore River" ship building yard during WWII and includes the slogan "Ships For 'V'ictory." At the center is an insignia-like design in Disney-style cartoon art showing a turtle on roller skates wearing a working man's hat and gloves carrying an I-beam under one arm and a carton marked "Rush" under the other arm. Our Hake Collection example had stain but this is clean and Exc. Metal back with bar pin. Very limited local distribution. Rare.
