Item Description
2.5” stickpin holds pair of 7/8” metal panels with front designed as American flag and reading “X Rays.” About 65% silver luster remains. Catch at right releases front panel to pop open revealing paper photos reading “For President W.J. Bryan” and “V. President A. Sewell.” Photos are clean and NM. Reverse of back panel reads ‘Heeren Bros. & Co. Mnfrs. Pittsburg Patent Apl’d.” A rare, and in 1896, a very topical campaign novelty as x-rays were discovered in 1895 by Wilhelm Rontgen. Rarely offered.
