Item Description
Octagonal thin tin sheet with soldered bar pin on reverse. Main areas of bugs’ bodies are lightly embossed. Wonderful image of silver bug and gold bug happily walking, each with an ‘arm’ across the ‘shoulders’ of his companion. Symbolic money bags they display are inscribed “16” and “1” although slight paint loss right of the numeral “1” makes numeral appear bit thicker than it was originally depicted. Silver and gold lettering reads “True Bi-Metallism/No Straddle – Bug.” Narrow .25” line of paint loss below “I” of “BI” and paint chip removed most of letters “ll” from “Metallism.” Slight paint rubs on “16” and narrow color streaks off bugs’ backs. Overall paint still about 95% complete and very glossy. An exceptional pro-Bryan badge and only the second we’ve seen.
