2-1/8" beautiful design of lunch pail with brick factory building and 5 smokestacks belching fire and black smoke. Captions on the pail are "Do You Smoke? Yes - Since 1896!" while text on lower rim is "That's What McKinley Promised." Extreme outer edge of button has some stain scattered around the perimeter but it almost perfectly blends with the areas having the dark blue bkg. and shows only a little bit over a few of the letters forming the words "That's What/Promised." Of the 17 letters forming those words, 6 have some light tan stain. On the positive side, the button has gorgeous unfaded color, nice all-over gloss, perfect centering and is complete with just a trifle of dust soil on the W&H backpaper. Overall a very pleasing example of a scarce classic listed as Hake #139. Value of $2,500.00 in Hake’s 2004 Revised Prices.
