Item Description
2.5" tall and double cased. Front has enamel initials "JFG." Pushing stem pops open case to reveal watch face marked "Burlington." Case back has engraved party logo of world globe, accented in blue enamel, with clasped hands. This back opens manually and interior of case back reads "The Burlington Watch Co. Guarantees This Case To Be Made Of Two Plates Of Solid Gold Over Composition And To Wear 25 Years." Burlington watches were actually made by Illinois Watch Co. Watch is c. 1920 and keeps time. Extremely tiny wear traces on closest inspection. Exc. Only Socialist Party example we've seen.
