Item Description
Nearly 5' tall, light weight wood replica of a Civil War musket with iron trigger guard and hammer. Top holds tin torch in a bracket that allows fuel canister to swivel. Canister has gently-curved 2" dent on one side and similar 3" on other. No wick. Black painted wood rifle is Exc. with just trivial light evidence of usage. First example we've ever offered. Collins discusses similar 1860 and 1880 versions as Fig. 6 of his booklet Political Campaign Torches, Smithsonian Institution, 1964.
