Item Description
This rare button is a long-time Hake collection resident. It is 7/8" inscribed "'Oswald' The Lucky Rabbit." Button was used to promote the cartoons Disney was doing for Universal Pictures and the button is pictured as an available promotional give-away in their ad in August 1927 issue of Universal Weekly, a movie industry trade journal. A mint example 5 years ago realized $3,500. While this example is totally clean, the upper right above the image has a .25" surface hairline crack in the cello covering. No backpaper likely as issued. Historic and Rare. See next early Oswald button. Comes with Hake's COA.
