Item Description
1-5/8" tall die-cut brass with image of him on each side in military uniform with "Hancock" printed across his hat. Small brass loop at top. A tiny tab at his heel is pushed causing his arm to spring out with the thumb of his hand positioned alongside his nose. The arm and hand are then pushed back into the body area so the action can be repeated. 1880 was the first election that saw this design and there is a Garfield mate. One of the earliest brass mechanical novelties complete with about 90% original luster. Hake #3030. NM.
