Item Description
1-3/8" listed as DeWitt-Sullivan 1868-47. Obverse has military bust of Grant facing left enclosed in olive wreath. Reverse has shield and wreath design with text "I Propose To Fight It Out On This Line 1868" with his name "Grant" at center. Extremely tiny 1/8" loop once on the top side edge is missing. Portrait side has bright, clean brass finish with a few traces of the original silvering intact. Reverse is combination of about 50% brass tone and 50% traces of silver luster. Scarce and Fine.
